Policy and Procedures

Admissions Policy

“BCIS welcomes students from families who understand and support the school’s mission, vision and philosophy, and goals. The school admits students of all nationalities subject to the availability of seats and resources.”

Consistent with the  vision and mission and vision of BCIS, the school’s admissions policy reflects our inclusiveness. We accept students of all nationalities and work to maintain a balanced enrollment based on gender, academic history, a student’s passions and interests, English language proficiency, and the make-up of the current student body.

We encourage all families to tour our school, attend an information session, and make every effort to understand our academic program and mission before submitting an application and embarking on the admissions process.

Admissions for 2018-2019 Academic Year

We will begin accepting applications for the 2018-2019 academic year from October, 2017. Details will be announced by the end of September 2017.

Please note that children who enroll at BCIS from schools with academic calendars that are not aligned with the BCIS academic calendar will be placed in the grade in which they are currently studying or have just completed. It is our intention to place every student in the grade level that is age appropriate, as well as developmentally appropriate. It is under very rare circumstances that we will allow a child to skip half a year of their education. However, at the discretion of individual Principals, exceptions may be considered based on a student’s complete file, academic history, and individual interview.
